Wingspan c. 11mm.One of the smallest of the Ancylis species, this moth is locally common in parts of southern England, and in Wales.
It generally inhabits chalky or limestone habitats, or coastal areas, and there are two generations, with adults on the wing from April to June, and again from July to September.
The larvae feed initially in a web, then later in a leaf folded together. The foodplants are strawberry (Fragaria), cinquefoil (Potentilla) and related plants.
