1281 Dichrorampha simpliciana

(Haworth, 1811)

Wingspan 12-16 mm.

One of the more nondescript members of the Dicrorampha genus, occurring locally throughout England and Wales. It is also present in parts of Scotland and Ireland.

The flight period is from July to September, when it is most active just before dark.

The larvae feed within the roots of mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris).
