1380 Phlyctaenia perlucidalis

Wingspan 21-23mm.A scarce species, of which there are relatively few records. It was first found in 1957 in a Huntingdonshire fen, and has since been recorded occasionally in a range of fenland and coastal locations mostly in the south and south-east of England.
The life history is incompletely known but it is thought to feed on various thistles (Cirsium and Carduus).
The adults are found on the wing during June and July.
