1389 Udea fulvalis

(Hübner, 1809)

Wingspan 24-29 mm.

A scarce migrant to the south and south-east of England and south Wales. In recent years it has shown signs of colonisation, particularly in the Dorset area.

Similar in appearance to the more common U. prunalis, it shows however a more yellowish-brown colouration.

It flies in July and August and the larvae feed on a range of plants of the family Labatiae.
