(Herrich-Schäffer, 1839)

Wingspan 27-31 mm.

Locally distributed in the southern and south-eastern parts of England, this dull greyish species inhabits woodland and bushy areas.

The adults fly in one generation during April.

During the summer months, the larvae develop, feeding on sloe, or blackthorn (Prunus spinosa).
