875a Blastobasis rebeli

Karsholt & Sinev, 2004

Wingspan c.13 mm.

Recently discovered in Hampshire in 1998, there have been a number of records of this species, otherwise only known from Madeira, and only recently named.

There are several records are from the same area over a few years, so it is assumed to be breeding in the vicinity, although the early stages have yet to be described..

The adults have been encountered mostly in July, and generally attracted to mercury vapour light.
