937 Agapeta hamana

(Linnaeus, 1758)

Wingspan 15-24 mm.

This yellowish species is fairly common throughout most of Britain. It occurs on waste ground and other places where the foodplant, thistle (Carduus), occurs.

It flies from June through August, mainly at dusk or at night, but it can easily be disturbed during the day.
