198 Dryadaula pactolia
Meyrick, 1902Wingspan c.8-11 mm.
A rather rare and unusual species that is only found in the British Isles occasionally. Its larvae feed on a fungus Rhacodium cellare, found in wine cellars and distillieries.
The illustrations here are of individuals from a house in Dundalk, Co. Louth, where large numbers appeared in 2010/11.
The adult moths can appear any time between March and November, presumably being continuously brooded indoors.
