1090 Apotomis infida

(Heinrich, 1926)

Wingspan c.18 mm.

A local and rare species, in Britain found only in parts of north-east Scotland.

Adults fly in July and August, and can be attracted to light. They resemble A. semifasciana, but are generally whiter in the forewing with a dark costal blotch rather than a more complete fascia.

The larva feeds on sallow (Salix), at least where it occurs on the continent
