Acroclita subsequana

(Herrich-Schäffer, 1851)

Wingspan c. 15 mm.

In Britain, Acroclita subsequana is a rather localised species, occurring only in the shingle and sandy coastal areas from Sussex westwards to Devon.

There are two generations, flying from May to June and again from July to September.

The larvae feed on sea spurge (Euphorbia paralias) and Portland spurge (E. portlandica), spinning the leaves to the stem with silk.
