Epinotia cinereana

(Haworth, 1811)

Wingspan c.15 mm.

Currently separated into its own species, this has for some time been regarded as a greyish form of E. nisella, previously known as f. cinereana of that species.

E. cinereana is associated particularly with aspen (Populus tremula), on which the larva feeds.
