Rusty Wave Idaea inquinata

(Scopoli, 1763)

Wingspan 16-19 mm.

In Britain, this species has only ever been known as an introduced species, examples having been found amongst imported dried flowers or herbs.

Several records came from herbalists' shops in London in the late 19th century, and has been found amongst dried flowers in Kent more recently.

The foodplants are believed to be dried or withered plants, and the moths are at large in June and July.
