Rosy Wave Scopula emutaria

(Hübner, [1809])

Wingspan 23-26 mm.

This species can show a rosy tinge but is often creamy white or greyish.

It has a scattered distribution over much of England and Wales, and occurs mainly in damp situations such as bogs and marshes.

The adults fly in June and July. The larvae are typical Geometridae or 'looper' types, and feed in the wild on sea beet (Beta maritima).
