Shaded Broad-bar Scotopteryx chenopodiata

Wingspan 25-30 mm. Widespread and fairly common throughout Britain, inhabiting a range of open habitats. The species has one generation, the adults flying in July and August. The larvae feed on vetch (Vicia) and clover (Trifolium).
