Acleris notana - Distribution map
Please note that the NBN Gateway map service has been terminated as of 1 April 2017.
As soon as a replacement map service is available, distribution maps will hopefully appear here again.
In the meantime, you can get some idea of distribution from the NBN Atlas website.

Acleris notana
(Donovan, 1806)
Wingspan 15-19 mm.
Very similar to A. ferrugana and equally variable, care has to be taken in the identification of these two species.
They also share similar habits, although notana feeds mainly on birch (Betula).
There are two generations (except in the far north), flying in July and then October. The second generation overwinters and reappears in spring.
It is fairly common throughout the British Isles
