Woods's Dart Agrotis graslini

Rambur, 1848

Wingspan c. 35-40mm.

Discovered on Jersey only as recently as 2001, subsequent investigations revealed that the species had been present since at least 1995 and had undoubtedly been overlooked amongst the similar Sand Dart Agrotis ripae, present at the same site.

Other potential confusion species are Archer's Dart Agrotis vestigialis and Spalding's Dart Agrotis herzogi.

Abroad, the species is known from coastal dunes in the western Mediterranean region.
