Anania terrealis

(Treitschke, 1829)

[Synonyms: Mutuuraia terrealis]
Wingspan 24-28 mm.

The distribution of this local species is rather western, being found in mainly coastal, rocky areas from south-west England to southern Scotland.

There is one generation, which flies in June and July from dusk onwards, when it is attracted to light.

The foodplant is goldenrod (Solidago virgaurea), usually the flowers.
