The Latin Callopistria juventina

(Stoll, 1782)


Wingspan 34-38 mm.

An extremely rare migrant, which has occurred in Britain on only a handful of occasions, all in the southern counties.

The species occurs in central and south-eastern Europe, where it flies in June and July.

The larvae feed on bracken (Pteridium aquilinum).
