Cnephasia pasiuana
Meadow Grey Tortrix

Wingspan c. 15-20mm.

Occurring in rough pastures, fens and marshy areas, this species is distributed in England and Wales and in parts of southern Ireland.

It has a relatively plain forewing comparative to other Cnephasia species, although females can be more well-marked.

The larva feeds on the flowers of a range of Compositae, as well as buttercup Ranunculus, spinning together several petals.

There is a single generation with adult moths flying in June and July.
