Eudonia lacustrata

[Synonyms: Dipleurina crataegella]

Wingspan 15-20 mm.

One of the more distinctive of the Scopariinae, identifiable by its rather plain creamy or greyish central portion of the wing.

The larvae feed on mosses, usually on walls or tree-trunks.

Flying in July and August, this species has a distribution over most of Great Britain.
