Notocelia tetragonana

(Stephens, 1834)

Wingspan 13-16 mm.

Nationally Scarce A

This species has a wide distribution nationally but is always extremely local and apparently declining, inhabiting very few woodland sites where many would appear to be suitable.

The larvae feed on Rosa sp., spinning leaves in May and June. The moths fly from dusk and come to light in July.
