Ocnerostoma friesei

Svensson, 1966

Wingspan 8-10 mm.

The males and females of this moth have different colourations. The males have pale grey forewings and those of the female are white.

This is a species found associated with scots pine (Pinus sylvestris) and has been confused with another pine-feeding species, Ocnerostoma piniariella. Separation of these two is by dissection.

The species is bi- or trivoltine, with flight periods in March to May, August and sometimes November.
