Wingspan 20-25mm.

A moth found predominantly in the brecklands of East Anglia.

The larvae can be found on burdock (Arctium minus) where they make characteristic holes in the leaves, starting at 2 mm diameter in April up to around 8 mm by the time they become mature in May.

The adult moth flies in June and July and is quite a pale species, with a characteristic droop to the rear lobe of the forewing.
